How to Make Gaucamole

After many, many visits to the most authentic mexican restaurant that I’ve ever been to, I can finally say – I make better guacamole than they do now! It took a lot of trial and error to get the best combination of avocado, onion, cilantro and jalapeño, but I suffered through the deliciousness.

Now I want to share my famous guacamole recipe with you! Here it is:

Prep time: 5 minutes

4 – 6 servings (depending on how much you and your guests love guacamole!)

Ingredients

  • 2 ripened avocados
  • 1 oz fresh cilantro, diced
  • 1/2 white onion, diced
  • 1/2 jalapeño pepper, diced
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 bag of tortilla chips, I love dipping with the Way Better Unbeatable Blues!

Directions

  1. Finely dice the white onion, jalapeño pepper and cilantro. Place in Molcajete or medium bowl.
  2. Cut the avocados in half and remove the seed.
  3. Scoop out avacado from the peel, put in a mixing bowl.
  4. Mash together using the pestle or using a fork.
  5. Add salt to taste (be careful not to over salt if you have chosen a salty chip)
  6. Garnish with a cilantro leaf, if desired.
